Luis is the host of District Leader, a weekly podcast designed to move and inspire educators and non-educators alike.  Luis is a career educator with more than 30 years of experience.   Passionate and goals-driven, Luis has highly-developed a deep knowledge and recognized professional expertise in leadership, curriculum and instruction, coaching, and community engagement.  

A catalyst and force behind education reform, Luis possesses the necessary skills to build, grow, and maintain strong academic programs based on successful leadership, collective engagement, and measurable results. Luis is an empowering motivator who seizes opportunities, drives positive change, builds consensus, improves raises consciousness.  In addition to the podcast, Luis also publishes a weekly online education journal, at Wiredprofiles, and publishes for first-time authors at Valgar Publishing.

Luis brings his expertise to the conversations, seeking to learn about each leader in reflective and powerful ways. The leaders that Luis interviews on District Leader lead in support of school districts from across the country that ranges from small rural and suburban to largely urban.  Luis encourages his guests to share their remarkable stories with our listeners, which provides great insight into the challenges and successes these leaders face and gain a deeper understanding of how they affect change.  Luis' interviews highlight not only the complexities in the work of leadership but also identifies the characteristics that define these leaders in complex systems.
